How to Get Started

To begin developing on the VSC testnet, follow these simple steps to obtain VSG tokens from our faucet and connect to our network.

Step 1: Access the VSC Testnet Faucet

Before you can start building your dApps, you’ll need VSG tokens for testing. The easiest way to obtain free VSG tokens on the testnet is through our VSC Testnet Faucet on Telegram. Here’s how to access it:

1. Open Telegram: If you don’t have Telegram installed yet, download it from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and set up your account.
2. Go to the VSC Faucet Bot: In Telegram, search for the VSC Faucet Bot or directly go to the bot using the following link: @vsc_faucet_bot. Tap on the bot to open the chat window.
3. Start the Faucet Bot: In the chat window of the @vsc_faucet_bot, press the Start button at the bottom of the screen. The bot will respond with instructions on how to use it.
4. Request Test VSG Tokens: After starting the bot, type the following command to request test tokens:bashCopy code/drip (your wallet address) For example:bashCopy code/drip 0xYourWalletAddress Replace 0xYourWalletAddress with the actual address of your MetaMask or Web3 wallet connected to the VSC testnet. After submitting the command, the bot will send a confirmation message that your request has been processed. You should receive test VSG tokens in your wallet shortly.

Step 2: Connect to the VSC Testnet

Once you have your VSG tokens, you’ll need to connect your wallet to the VSC testnet. Here’s how to do that:

1. Open Your Wallet: Launch your MetaMask or other compatible wallet.
2. Add a New Network:
   • In MetaMask, click on the network dropdown at the top.
   • Select Add Network or Custom RPC.
3. Enter VSC Testnet Details:
   • Network Name: Vector Smart Chain
   • Token Symbol: VSG
   • Chain ID: 420044
   • JSON-RPC: https://testnet-rpc.vsgofficial.com
   • Block Explorer: https://testnet-scan.vsgofficial.com
4. Save the Network: After entering the details, save the network and switch to it.
